Michael Williams was born on March 14, 1966 in Milwaukee, WI. As a young child and teenager Michael had a very large and loving support system, even after his parents separated. Michael was an academic scholar and somewhat of an athlete. In middle and high school, Williams was on the track team, the cross-country team and, his favorite, the wrestling team. Although Michael did very well in track and cross-country, it was in amateur wrestling Michael took the most pride. Michael took home state championships three out of the four years he attended high school at Milwaukee Tech High School.
Throughout his entire life from the age, he could start remembering TV programs, Michael had a nearly scary obsession with professional wrestling. The passion got so bad that at the age of 16, instead of taking a traditional job at the local McDonald’s, grocery store, or retail store, on his birthday, Michael, signed up with a local wrestling promotion/academy. After a year of basic pro-wrestling training, Michael got his first match. It was a loss but Michael never gave up, and amazingly kept up with his academic studies and his recreational sports.
After graduating in 1984, Michael weighed the option of really going full time with wrestling. Even working the schedule that we worked for the promotion, he was still highly successful (even holding their world title for the longest time in the promotions history) and he made very good money. The other option, which the mass majority of his family encouraged, was to continue with his current wrestling schedule and go to college full time. Although the temptation was tough, Michael made the decision to wrestle full time.
A year into his post high school life, the company Michael wrestled for went under. Although Michael wanted to, he didn’t have the financial means to buy the company and save it, so Michael took another offer from a regional promoter, but it was bad business there. Following Michael being tossed around from one wrestling company to the next, in fall of 1986 Michael went to University Wisconsin - Milwaukee for a double major in business administration and global marketing. Still wrestling in 1986 to help pay for college, in 1987 Michael moved from wrestling to refereeing and commentating to try to work his way into production, which only took him a few months to do. In production, Williams worked everything, from ring and set setup, to camera and road agent, to creative development, show writing, scouting, recruiting, and promoting. In 1989, Michael caught his big break into promotion management. In June of 1990, Michael graduated with honors from UWM with his degrees. Even with two degrees, Williams realized that wrestling companies were still doomed to corporate corruption. Williams worked in and help managed over 10 wrestling companies all over the nation before returning home in 1996 to help manage a local promotion as well as earn his second double major degrees, this time with a masters in Business Management with emphasis in accounting and human resources and a masters in Marketing. In 1998, Michael again graduated from UWM with these degrees and honors. Michael suffered two more years of failing and ailing companies, mostly due to corporate corruption and a lack of proper business management, before deciding to become a pioneer.
On January 1, 2000, with a few friends, including high school best friend Brandon Taylor, by his side, Michael began the organization process of founding the Xtreme Hardkore Championship Wrestling Federation. On March 5, 2001 the XHCWF was officially organized and incorporated.
Although, going through many trials and tribulations, the triumphs out weighed everything. Five years after their official organization Michael Williams and the XHCWF has grown to be a global company, the third largest company in its market of professional wrestling and sports entertainment, and the only company continuing to grow, and to grow at an exponential rate in the same market.
