Background: Born Taj Jeremy Helms on September 21, 1984 Taj began a good life. Unlike a lot of wrestlers Taj did not have a rough child hood. Taj grew up and a "tv" family. He was the eldest of the 2 Helms children. His mother, Laura Helms, was a great homemaker, wife and mother who only job was to make sure the house was clean, the kids were well kept, there was always food in the refrigerator, ect. His dad, Jerry Helms, was the bread winner. Jerry worked a typical nine to five as a office manager at a local company. He made a very live- able salary and he always came home to a good hot meal. when Jerry was home from work that family gathered at the table and ate together. The kids would take their baths and at 10:00 it was time for bed. Taj got all of his needs and some of his wants. Played Pee-wee baseball and In high school played baseball and soccer and was on the wrestling team. He also had a part time job at the corner store. Typical TV family. One thing that is unique about Taj is that he had a passion for wrestling and every time he had the chance he would watch AWA located in Milwaukee or he'd watch WWF. He wanted to be one of those people. and of course his dad said "You can be whatever you want to be son. You just have to put your mind to it!"
Listing to his fathers words Taj began to become what he wanted. He had old box spring mattresses in the basement and he would practice. At 17 he quit his part time job and began to go to a local wrestling school in Milwaukee where he paid 100 buck a month for training. He would go to AWA shows and study the art and he'd get backstage sometimes. And one night, shortly after taj turned 18 and had graduated, while standing around watching, the AWA's promoter walked up to him and said "Hey kid I see you back here a lot... you a wrestler?" Taj replied "Well I hope to be one one day. I've been going to wrestling school for about a year now." The promoter said "What's you full name kid?" Taj: "Taj Jeremy Helms, sir" Promoter : "Well Taj J, you gonna be one right now. I'm short a guy and I can't cancel the match, it against Big Bruno, for the Title, and it doesn't matter whether you win, lose, or draw, as long as you do well you have a job." Back then titles and matched weren't pre-decided. And of course Taj got beaten badly but he didn't give up in the match and did put on a heck of a fight and show. He got the job.
From there he wrestled with AWA for 2 years before being picked up by a regional promoter. Then he was picked up by EHW (Extremly Hardcore Wrestlng) a national promoter. Although he did quite well at EHW, even won the World Title, (and in only a few months) he hated it there. So about 7 months after he joined EHW he accepted an offer from Respectable Wrestling Association (RWA) which was another national promoter. His career was short lived there (6 months) but he still made his already big name even bigger. Then finally he found his home the XHCWF (Xtreme Hardkore Championship Wrestling Federation). His career sky rocketed once he hit that mat with such legends as Grim Reaper, Nemesis, Rodzilla and more. Unfortunately after a few years and title reigns with them Taj began to get board. Taj J. Helms had become that household name but it wasn't enough. And he became cockier and cockier and he began to become the newest rebel of the XHCWF. Only bad part was about a month or two later after Taj's last title reign but when Taj began to really come back strong, the XHCWF fell from world level, to national, then kept falling until it disbanded.
But word got out the X was re- opening he decided to come back home.

Ring Entrance
** The Lights go out and a stream of 5 pryo shoot out from the ramp and "Passing You By" begins to play as Taj J. Helms begins to emerge from the left over smoke from the pyro. Multicolored light flash in the arena and on the ramp. As he walks in the dim white spotlight, he slowly turns around cockily as if he the world greatest. He struts down the ramp and turning his nose up at the crowd. He stops at the bottom of the ramp and turns toward the crowd on his right and shouts, "I know you wanna be me, But you can't be, No one is as good as me!" And Continues to walk toward the ring stairs and then walks up them and enters the ring. He runs and jumps on the turnbuckle to his right. He tosses his hands and arms in the air, waiting for his demanded respect and adoration. The crowd boos. He jumps off of the turnbuckle and waits.**
